Is it possible that by having sincere empathy for another's challenges...e.g., Joseph Smith, Jesus Christ and others who have faced "storms of life" that seem extremely challenging and more difficult than ours, can we benefit and learn from their experiences? (instead of having to go through trials like that ourselves)

I was thinking about the lesson last week.
